👩🏻💻 My Role
UX/UI Design
🛠 Tools
Google forms, Figma, Zeplin.
⏱ Timeline
2 weeks
1. Research
1.1 Desk research
started by downloading the app and using it, to get more details and understand what could be improved. It looked like this when I accessed it:
1.2 Interviews with users
I did some interviews with different users of the app to see if the sticker part was an issue for anyone.
I reached some users through the app chat and asked what they liked the most about the Combyne and in what parts it could be improved. In total, I received 16 answers.
Main Insights from the interviews
Users think the Stickers search could be more segmented (e.g. by types of clothes).
Users believe that sometimes the app could be a little confusing, because things are not in a logical order inside the Stickers section.
2. Define
2.1 Affinity Diagram
I created an affinity diagram to organize the insights, ideas, and problems that I heard during the interviews.
2.2 Persona
2.3 Jobs-to-be-done
When I create my fashion designs on Combyne
I want to find the stickers to compose my looks easily
So I can waste less time searching for a specific item.
3. Ideate
3.1 User Flow
Laura’s flow “find an sticker”
4. Prototype
4.1 Mid-Fidelity
4.2 High Fidelity Prototype
You can check out the whole prototype HERE.
Now the user can filter the stickers by what they want, like Clothes, Hair & Faces or Accessories or just search for what they want. I made the search bar on the Stickers section more segmented and organized, so it’s easier for the user.
Next Steps
As a received a lot of good ideas for the app, if I had the opportunity to keep working on it, I would propose to:
Create a badge award for the winners of competitions, so they could add it in the profile.
Inspirations tips for the users.
Save button available during all steps, so if the app crash or something happens, the user will not lose the outfits.
